Going The Same Way – Tracing Footsteps
To count down to 20 years since Middle Of Nowhere, we are excited to share a special feature from now until June 2017.
Each month we will share fan stories from around the world to celebrate Hanson’s remarkable career and Fan Community.
We have invited fans from five continents, to share their experiences. They tell us in their own words, how they have traced footsteps on a journey with Hanson and their music.
This month we share Lar’s Story.
Meeting LARS HANSEN (one of Hanson’s first male fans)
My name is Lars Hansen. I am a 37 year old MALE fan, and I’m from Norway. I have been a member of Hanson.net for 16 years.
I am one of the few fans that didn’t become a fan because of MMMBop back in 1997. The song that got me curious about these 3 brothers was Where’s The Love. I heard it the first time on MTV one day after school. It blew my mind that such young kids can sing with such passion and harmonies. It was an infectious song. It stayed in my head for days.
I bought the Middle Of Nowhere album a week later. It was a collection of amazing songs that touched my heart and made me happy. And they released Live From Albertane and Snowed In. I was hooked. I knew that the music from Hanson was gonna mean something special for me for years to come.
All the albums they have released after that have just increased my love for their music and their voices. Hanson makes you bob your head and tap your feet. They have a quality of making songs and performing those songs in a way that can describe your feelings ……..and give you strength and happiness when you need it the most.
Some of my favorite songs are Where’s The Love, Weird, I Will Come To You, This Time Around, Save Me, Dying To Be Alive, Love Song, I Don’t Know, In The City, So Lovely, Leave The Light On, Lost Without Each other, Down, Get Up & Go, Believe, Been There before, Something Going Around, Your Illusion, I’ve Been Down, Take Our Chances, Kiss Me When You Come Home, And I Waited, Voice In The Chorus, Make It Through Today, Time Baby Take It, Get out Of My Heart, Up All Night, Chasing Down My Dream, These Walls (Acoustic), Fired Up, Already Home, Tragic Symphony, Tonight, Grace Unknown, Don’t Hide Your Tears, Stop Me In My Tracks, No Rest For The Weary and Something Loud
Every concert I have been to has been a special moment for me. From Hanson Day in Tulsa in 2009 and 2011, concert series at Epcot or the epic 5 of 5 week in New York. The RNR Tour was especially fantastic. From the awesome fans, to the ‘rockin’ set lists and The awesome covers that spice up the concerts.
Rockin fun.
If I could describe Hanson in 3 Words…it would be…… real…… talented……. musicians
One album that I would bring to a desert island……This Time Around
If I would be so lucky to spend one day with Hanson …..I would love to be in the recording studio with them and then eat some pizza or Mexican food with them.
Thank you Hanson for all the fantastic music and concerts, and for making the sad days so much better and the good days so much more fun. You guys rock!
Thanks to Lars for sharing his story with us here!
We hope to see Lars on Tour in 2017!
