Carly Rae Jepsen, Hanson: ‘Call Me Maybe’ Star Bonds With Boy Band Over Whiskey, Possible Collaborations
Before Carly Rae Jepsen caught the ear of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, the “Call Me Maybe” singer was already busy impressing another bunch of teen idols. Over the course of their cross-Canadian tour together this past winter, Jepsen and ’90s pop sensation Hanson became both friends and fans of each others work.
Hanson Does ‘Mmmbop’ 16 Years Later
With the recent boy band revival, most evident in the upcoming Package Tour featuring New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men, it’s hard to forget another band that forever lives on in a ’90s kid’s heart — Hanson.
But it turns out that some things just get better with age, as evidenced by this amazing version the brothers did of their breakout hit “MMMBop” on Australian radio show Fifi and Jules. The video was posted to Youtube last September, but it’s gaining a lot of attention this week thanks to a recent post on BuzzFeed.
From the Band – 18th January
This last week was really special. We got to share a beautiful place and a lot of music with a few hundred amazing Hanson.net members from all over the world, during the Back To The Island destination concert event. Of course we all tried to relax between concerts, and from what we saw everyone who attended got plenty of their own r & r. It was amazing to see so many people from different parts of the world coming together for the week, and it inspired us further about the year we are planning which will be taking our tour to places far and wide.

Who wants to be in a music video? This Sunday, January 6th, we will be filming the music video for the first single off of our new album.
