Going The Same Way – Tracing Footsteps<\/strong><\/p>\n Each month until June 2017 we will share fan stories from around the world to celebrate Hanson’s remarkable career and Fan Community.<\/strong> This Month we share story Lean’s Story.<\/strong><\/p>\n Where are you from and how did you become a Hanson fan?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>Cebu City, Philippines. \u00a0<\/em>What drew you to Hanson and what keeps you coming back for more?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>For starters, the way they looked back then (and now of course) was the epitome every pre-teen girl\u2019s dreamboy! Plus, their music is just so unique and authentic. To me, their sound is very raw \u2013 and I love how there\u2019s always a piece of themselves in all of their songs. Their music, to me, is very personal and there\u2019s this sense of \u201chome\u201d to it. Never fails to pick me up every single time.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>What are your favourite Hanson songs?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Do I need to choose just one? So hard! \u00a0<\/em>Do you have any special memories as a Hanson fan?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>If there ever is any, it would definitely be when I first saw them perform and met them in person. I was a 26-year-old mother who lived a normal adult life but shrieked at the airport, knees weak, tears flowing from my eyes. It was all so surreal. I had waited for them for 15 years, and I seriously already gave up hope of ever seeing them live. BUT I DID! That weekend was magical. I\u2019ve built solid friendships with fellow Hanson fans over that weekend. I love being part of the Hanson community!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>Do you have any special memories of Hanson\u2019s music?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>For a couple of years, I had gone through some really dark and sad times in my life. During that phase, I held on to Hanson\u2019s music. I\u2019ve said this over and over again, but I will say it still: Hanson music is my comfort zone. Whenever I\u2019m sad or down or mad or just overwhelmed with life, I turn to their music \u2013 and instantly my day feels so much better.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>When I got pregnant, my family disowned me and I was left alone with no one to turn to. I had Hanson\u2019s music with me \u2013 to remind me of better times and to encourage me to move forward because like all things, storms will pass.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>How has Hanson music inspired you?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Hanson music has inspired me to work hard and keep my eye on the goal. It\u2019s not about being popular and not about how many people love you. It\u2019s the quality of people you keep around. I\u2019d rather be loved genuinely by a few than be praised my many but not really cared for.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>How do you express your interest and passion for Hanson Music?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Being part of the Hanson community has been quite helpful to my expression of love for Hanson and their music. I am very vocal and expressive about my love for Hanson, so they\u2019re all over my social media. I also cooperate with Hanson Philippines as an admin to the Facebook page and join campaigns like this one! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>What words most sum up Hanson for you?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Authentic. Inspiring.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>What Hanson album would you take to a desert Island?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Definitely UNDERNEATH.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>If you could choose how to spend a day with Hanson, what would you do?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>I\u2019d like to hang out with them like normal people. \nThe year was 1997, and I was an awkward 11-year-old girl. I watched MTV the entire day, and then the screen flashed these three cute, long-haired boys roller-blading around and singing this really catchy song. I became a Hanson fan right then and there. The next time we went to the mall, I asked my grandmother to buy their cassette tape<\/strong>! That was the beginning of a lifetime of fandom. \nMy ultimate favorite would be \u201cLost Without Each Other<\/em>.\u201d There\u2019s a certain spunk to it, and the familiarity gives me all these ~feelz~ I also enjoy \u201cPenny and Me<\/em>,\u201d \u201cWhere\u2019s the Love<\/em>,\u201d \u201cGreat Divide<\/em>,\u201d and \u201cIf Only<\/em>.\u201d But seriously though, I like every single Hanson song there is!<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mmmboptastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/cebu-tour2012.jpg?resize=609%2C406&ssl=1\")
