Hanson: A Look at the Band You Thought You Knew

Hanson.

No, don’t stop reading yet. I know you’re seeing three blonde-haired teens singing their overplayed smash-hit Mmmbop and thinking, “Wasn’t one of them a girl?” And then, “They’re still around?”

Hanson, (guitarist Isaac, 27; pianist Taylor; 25; and drummer Zac, 22) are still alive and well. They’re touring with their new album, The Walk, as well as promoting TOMS Shoes (for every pair sold, a pair goes to a child in need from Africa: one for one).

But what got Hanson started on their passion for Africa? Zac took some time out of his day to talk to me a bit about the work their doing and their tour, which comes to Hamilton, December 3rd.

Make room for one more member of the band Hanson. Youngest brother Zac Hanson, 22, and his wife, Kate, 23, have announced that they are expecting their first child in May. Zac revealed, “I am utterly thrilled at the thought of becoming a father. I can’t wait to meet this person.”

Kate added that, “This is the most amazing time for us. It’s the most romantic thing we’ve ever done.”

Hanson Family Values

Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson snapped a family portrait with their respective wives and children for People magazine this week.

Isaac, 26, and hiswife Nikki, 23, are the newest parents, having welcomed son ClarkeEverett in April, who, according to Nikki, is a human cartoon. “[Everett] makes so many funny faces. He’s got a little Elvis lip curl going on.”

Meanwhile, middle bro Taylor, 24, and wife Natalie, 23, are seasoned parents with three tykes, Jordan Ezra, 4, Penelope Anne, 2,and River Samuel, 9 1/2 months. And it seems like the music gene runs in the family. Natalie says, ”
