Hanson are giving fans a Christmas to remember… next year.
The boy band is coming back with a brand new album, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their Snowed In album.
Zac, Taylor, and Isaac Hanson are all back to make some more Christmas magic but won’t release it until 2017.
’20 years ago we made Snowed In,’ Zac announced via the band’s Twitter account on Thursday. ‘Just finished a new Christmas album for 2017.’
The album, titled Ooh Christmas, will feature brand will feature new music, and a studio version of the holiday classic, Winter Wonderland.
The brothers released a live version of the song as a teaser for the album, but the studio version will only be available on the album.
Although fans won’t be able to enjoy the new music this year, the trio did share behind-the-scenes footage of a recording session where they discuss the new album name.
The beginning of the video appears to only have Tayler and Isaac Hanson taking part in the studio session, but later, the camera pans over to youngest brother Zac, who is playing the drums in a different room.
Fans have been unable to contain their excitement at the news.
One fan said it was ‘the best thing’ she’s heard all day.
‘It’s been 20 years? I feel so old,’ someone else chimed in.
Another commented: ‘Thanks for creating a Christmas album that we can still get excited over. Can’t wait until next year to hear Wintry Mix.’
The Hanson brothers have spent the last few years mainly devoted to their families.
The brothers have 12 children between the three of them.
Zac welcomed baby number four with his wife Kate Hanson. He also has John Ira Shepherd, eight, Junia Rose Ruth, five, and George Abraham, aged two.
Isaac, the eldest band member, has three children with his wife Nicole: Everett, nine, and Monroe, eight, and Nina Odette, two.
Taylor Hanson has five little ones with wife Natalie: Ezra, 13, Penelope, 11, River, nine, Viggo, seven, and Wilhelmina, aged three.
