Hanson Brothers Beer and The Hop Jam 2016
On March 14, Taylor Hanson’s birthday, Hanson released the details for The Hop Jam #3, including the full list of brewers taking part, the extended activities, and the line up of musicians participating.
This announcement followed a day after Tulsa World published an article about the musical heritage of Tulsa and its growing status as a destination city for music lovers.
The home of Woody Guthrie, the Bob Dylan archive and the Church studios, Tulsa has added a music festival with a difference to its draw.
Each year, Mayfest and The Centre of The Universe festivals bring huge crowds to the Tulsa downtown to celebrate and share music and the arts, and tucked away between the two is The Hop Jam Beer and Music festival, the work of Hanson.
The Hanson beer story has outgrown any early mirth that may have surrounded its first steps and over five years of conversation, publicity, creativity, production and marketing, Hanson Brothers Beer has established its reputation.
On the back of that reputation, enthusiasm and hard work, more than 60 brewers from 20 states and 10 countries, will travel to The Hop Jam this May. They will represent their companies, share stories and bring a taste of the world to the Tulsa that lies just across the other side of the tracks.
At The Hop Jam, music will continue to bring local and national acts together on the main stage and exemplify the versatility in musical styles that has been a trademark of The Hop Jam since 2014.
“The main stage will be headlined by a dynamic live performance from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, as well as Albert Hammond Jr., X Ambassadors, Tulsa’s own John Moreland, Chase Kerby + The Villains and more”.
A second stage on Guthrie Green will see The Hop Jam spread its locations in The Brady District and allow visitors to enjoy the resources offered in this family friendly neighbourhood.
Hanson will be curating, presenting and running their event this year as before.
